What do you need to get started?

  1. Logo/Art work

    • Send us your logo/ art work

    • Illustrator file is ideal but we may be able to work with Jpeg, pdf, etc

    • Digitizing your artwork file into a DST file is required for any embroidery job.

  2. Specs/ placement

    • What is the size of your desired embroidery? (Ex: 11” by 2”)

    • Provide the exact embroidery placement. (Ex: Centered, 3” from the center neck, 4” from the arm hole)

  3. Thread & Thread Color(s)

    • Specify quantity of color(s) needed for printing. (Ex: 2 colors)

    • Specify desired color(s) for printing. (Ex: Black & White)

    • Specify Thread type - If necessary

    • Providing specific Pantone color is preferred

    • Providing exact thread color, brand and name is ideal if you have specific needs

  4. Garment color(s)

    • How many color garments will we be printing on? (Ex: 2 colors)

    • What color(s) garments we will be printing on? (Ex: Black & White)

  5. Quantity/ Size(s)

    • What are the total units needed? (Ex: 25)

    • Are you embroidering on the the same type of garment if not specify your needs. (Ex: 15 hoodies, 10 shirts)

    • Breakdown your sizing & color needs per style of garment. (Ex: 5 large black hoodies, 10 small white hoodies, 10 Large black t-shirts for men, black thread on white, white thread on black garments)

  6. Ordering Blank(s)

    • Do you need wholesale blanks?

    • Specify your needs and or flexibility on brands & budget per garment(s).

    • This will help us find the vendor that best fits your needs.

  7. Custom garments/ embroidery

    • Working with custom designs can create some obstacles as well as some flexibility.

    • Please share images, the embroidery and production sewing department will need to review your embroidery surface to determine the step in which your garment can and should be embroidered on.

Providing the above information will result in the most efficient start times and proper quoting. (Recommended)

FAQ

Minimums (MOQ’s) - Flexible but on average we prefer to work with 25 unit minimums.

Turnaround Time - Varies on customers needs and embroidery schedule but on average 2 weeks after payment is complete and artwork has been digitized.

What Kind of file is needed for my art work and why? - A DST file is required for all embroidery jobs. This is the process where your artwork is converted into thread counts. An embroidery machine needs this type of file in order to read and process your artwork.

Embroidery Set - How many DST files are needed for my design? One DST file is needed for each color of each design, (graphic / artwork / logo). The embroidery process is performed by our 6 head, 12 color machine, each project requires, digitizing, set up & sample.

How do I know what type of thread to use? - There are several type of thread and fibers. If you don’t have experience or specific needs we will determine the best choice for your project based on your needs.

What type of threads are available? - There are a variety of thread from different finishes, fibers & brands. Some of the most common thread fibers are polyester and rayon. One our favorite brands to work with is Madeira. (Check out color card example below).

Specific material or threads? - If you are in need a specific thread and or material we are most likely able to get it for you but it will require additional shipping/ordering time and or cost.

Patches - Patches are small but can create some unique obstacles and processes. Twill tape & tare away backing is usually used to create durable and clean patches and can result in extra material charges.

Embroidery Process - Digitizing, set up, thread color selection, garment / material set up, consist of securing material in custom rings and stabilizer backing, stitching process, excess thread trimming, peeling backing then project is complete.
